LoyaltyOS

Member referral programme / Singapore

Grow through people.
Reward the
connection.

Recognise the recommendation.
Welcome the next customer.

Build a referral programme that belongs to your brand. Decide how to reward the referrer and their friend, recognise your strongest advocates and qualify rewards through a first purchase—not a signup alone.

Your brand. Your reward rules. A network of genuine introductions.

Two people. Two reasons to participate.

Decide what a good
introduction deserves.

Set the rewards for the existing customer who recommends you and the new customer they bring. The two benefits do not have to be identical—they serve different moments in the relationship.

For the referrer

Thank the person
who opens the door.

Choose a benefit that makes an introduction feel appreciated. Give your existing customer a clear reason to recommend your brand and stay engaged with it.

For the referee

Make the first visit
worth following through.

Welcome the referred customer with a benefit connected to their qualifying purchase. Explain what they need to do and what they will receive.

Define the benefit, recipient, eligibility and issue conditions for each side before launching the programme.

A purchase, not just a promise

Reward the introduction
when it becomes a customer.

Configure referral rewards to qualify only after the referee makes their first qualifying purchase. A new signup alone does not trigger the first-purchase reward.

  1. 01

    Introduce

An existing member refers a friend to your brand.

  2. 02

    Join

The friend joins through the supported referral journey.

  3. 03

    Purchase

The referee completes their first qualifying purchase.

  4. 04

    Reward

Eligible rewards follow your configured rules for both parties.

Agree what counts as a qualifying first purchase, when rewards are issued and how cancellations or refunds are handled. Communicate those conditions before customers participate.

Give your best advocates a reason to stay

Recognise the relationship.
Not just one referral.

Create referrer tiers with different rules and benefits. Give engaged advocates a visible path to deeper recognition, rather than treating their tenth meaningful introduction like their first.

A starting point

Welcome participation.

Make it easy for members to understand the first step and the reward for a qualifying introduction.

A reason to continue

Recognise contribution.

Use your tier criteria to acknowledge referrers who bring valuable new relationships to your business.

A relationship to retain

Keep advocates close.

Give your strongest referrers meaningful benefits and attention that make continued engagement worthwhile.

These are programme-design stages, not fixed Rewardly tier names or thresholds. Referrer recognition tiers are separate from the two levels of a referral network.

Two-tier referral relationships

Let one good introduction
lead to another.

Build an ongoing referral network centred on your brand. A referred member can introduce someone else, extending the relationship across two referral levels.

Member A

The original advocate

Introduces Member B.

Member B

A customer, then a referrer

Introduces Member C.

Member C

The next introduction

Makes a qualifying first purchase.

Direct level: B is C’s immediate referrer.

Second level: A is connected through B.

Set the eligible rewards and qualification rules for each level. Keep the experience exclusive to your brand’s programme, with terms that members can understand and your team can explain.

The diagram illustrates referral relationships, not a promised payout. Two-tier support does not mean unlimited levels or automatic rewards on every future purchase.

Support the programme behind the promise

Know who contributes.
Keep delivery consistent.

A referral programme needs more than an attractive invitation. Connect recognition with visibility and a workflow your business can sustain.

Identify your advocates.

Measure referral contribution to understand which members are helping your brand grow.

Automate configured workflows.

Support referral activity at volume with programme rules and reward automation.

Build in fraud controls.

Use referral controls to help deter misuse. No programme should be presented as fraud-proof.

An invitation worth sharing

Turn your next referral
into a lasting relationship.

Let’s define both rewards, first-purchase conditions, referrer tiers and your two-tier referral network.

Plan your referral programme

Good questions

A little more clarity.

What is a member referral programme?

A member referral programme recognises existing customers for introducing new customers to your brand. Rewardly lets you design the benefits and conditions for both the referrer and the referred customer.

Who are the referrer and the referee?

The referrer is the person making the introduction. The referee is the new customer being introduced. Your programme can define a different benefit for each person.

Can I decide how to reward both sides?

Yes. Define the rewards for the referrer and referee, along with their eligibility and issue conditions. The benefits can serve different goals while remaining part of the same programme.

Can rewards wait until the referee makes a first purchase?

Yes. Configure referral rewards to qualify after the referee completes their first qualifying purchase, rather than rewarding signup alone. Confirm the purchase conditions, issue timing and cancellation or refund handling for your setup.

How can tiers help retain my best referrers?

Create referrer tiers with different criteria and benefits to recognise contribution and encourage continued engagement. Clearly explain how participation qualifies for recognition and what each tier offers.

How does a two-tier referral network work?

If Member A refers Member B and B then refers Member C, B is C’s direct referrer and A is connected at the second level. Rewards at each level depend on your configured eligibility and first-purchase rules.

Are referrer tiers the same as two-tier referrals?

No. Referrer tiers recognise an advocate’s contribution or engagement. The two-tier referral network describes the depth of referral relationships: a direct introduction and a connection through that introduced member.

Does a two-tier programme promise ongoing commission on all purchases?

No. Two-tier support describes referral relationships, not unlimited depth or guaranteed continuing payouts. Define which rewards apply, who qualifies and which purchase event triggers them.
