Life is Rewarding - L'vie5 Cafe

L'vie5 Cafe at One Raffles Quay

How do you thrive in an increasingly competitive business environment, such as the food and beverage (F&B) sector?

Despite the turbulent world, we feel hungry when the clock strikes noon. So it doesn't matter if the world turns upside down, because we need to eat. That's why restaurants are always busy during lunchtime.

What sets a successful restaurant apart from others is efficiency, meaning your customers can order the way they like, whenever they want. Indeed, location plays a key role in this success. However, it also involves high rental costs, and in such a prime location, only high productivity can maximize ROI.

We are pleased to offer the opportunity to work with L'vie5 Cafe, an authentic Vietnamese fusion restaurant that serves traditional pho, banh mi, and expertly crafted Vietnamese drip coffee. But L'vie5 offers more than that. They prioritize speed of service and serving popular cuisine at affordable prices, from breakfast to afternoon tea.

The spacious dining hall seats over 20 guests who have an extra 30 minutes to enjoy their food (and drinks), while others can order via kiosk or directly from their mobile phones. Anthony has a strong cultural sense; he hopes everyone can enjoy the experience he has been developing for years, and is proud of it.

About the Food (and Drink)

Located at One Raffles Quay, it is crowded with many other restaurants, facing fierce competition for orders. L'vie5 stands out for its unique concept of infusing modern elements into traditional cuisine. Vietnamese Pho closely resembles our local "bee hoon cheng thng" but with a variety of meat and spices, which gives your taste buds an uplifting experience compared to the local version. It is easy to eat and digest, without compromising the rich nutrients found in protein-rich poultry or meat. Depending on your preference, you can choose between the dry and the soup version or add another side dish to complement the main dish. With all the goodies, it is still well under 20, great for your wallet while soothing your craving for quality food.

There's nothing much to introduce again regarding Vietnamese drip coffee, as it has already won accolades on the global stage. It is famous for packing a punch, next to the Turkish coffee, but is extracted from the Robusta beans, which are abundant in Southeast Asia. L'vie5 added a zing to this traditional coffee by infusing extra flavour you will not expect from a serious (but a bit boring) Vietnamese restaurant. But that's what we want. Life is rewarding when you step out of your comfort zone to try something different.

About L'vie5 Cafe

Like any other restaurant and cafe located in the CBD, it is all about speed and convenience, while you have already established your food quality and offering. Customers today demand more than just another lunch; they talk about "dining experience", which is another dimension more than the food or drink on the table, but everything else, including the convenience to order, the efficiency to fulfil it, and making sure your customer is happy and will come back again to dine with you.

Serving speed and maintaining consistency in food and services require a lot of staff. It is no longer sustainable in today's F&B industry as hiring costs have increased. Therefore, L'vie5 focuses on process automation by leveraging the strong automation and omnichannel order aggregation provided by Rewardly CommerceOS. It allows customers to order from the self-ordering kiosk and QR ordering, which are immediately synchronized into the Rewardly POS system and relayed to the KDS systems. Finally, the system can call out from the Queue Management system via the Rewardly eSignage app.

The Automation with digital ordering is a proven strategy for boosting productivity and maintaining a balanced cost that allows the F&B to sustain itself.

L'vie5 did not focus only on digital ordering but also expanded into more sophisticated management, including,

Stock control

Streamline the availability of menu items across all channels and enable precise control over product configurations, such as combo menu items. This allows accurate and real-time inventory management and prevents customers from placing orders for items that are out of stock.

Unified menu management

Control the menu item availability on each selling channel such as Kiosk, and QR ordering and availability by timing.,

Unified order fulfilment

Consolidate orders from all selling channels into a centralized order fulfillment system managed by Rewardly's KDS kitchen display system, expedite display, and order queue management systems. It helps L'view unify dine-in, take-out, or pre-order for pickup.

Omnichannel customer loyalty

L'vie5 introduces the membership loyalty program as a token of appreciation to their supporter. The customer gets to enjoy a welcome voucher perk and earn loyalty points from their purchase. They can do this by checking directly to the QR ordering app, using a kiosk, or through the redemption QR code printed on the POS receipt.

Empowered by Rewardly

We understand the challenges in the F&B industry through years of working with over a few thousand F&B merchant partners. It is encouraging to see more F&B businesses adopting digital solutions and recognizing that it is a vital strategy to reduce their costs and staffing challenges.

L'vie5 Cafe is one of the restaurants that sees the importance of automation and has started with end-to-end automation. The result is clear, as they can handle more orders during the lunch peak in a consistent pattern.

To us, it is a top priority to ensure that Rewardly CommerceOS continues to be the backbone of order management and fulfillment systems that L'vie5 can rely on. We have noticed a decrease in support requests from L'vie5 a month after the deployment, and they have started to explore Rewardly LoyaltyOS to introduce loyalty and rewards to their customers.

It aligns with our framework, where our merchant partners follow the capability upgrade phases.
